Partnership in YEPP
Since September 2001, YEPP has operated as a collaborative initiative of a group of European
and US foundations, the International Academy (INA) at the Free University of Berlin and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), under the auspices of the Network of European Foundations (NEF). It was the first partnership programme of European and American foundations in the area of education and youth. The partners in YEPP set out to establish an innovative, high-quality programme to address complex social challenges and improve the
lives of young people at risk in an integrated and systematic way.
During the first phase of YEPP (2001 - 2006), the following foundations participated in and
contributed to the programme:

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development OECD / Centre
for Educational Research and Innovation CERI, Paris, France, worked in
close co-operation with the Programme Team in concept and strategy
development of the Programme and was in charge of the first external
evaluation.
The foundations which are currently full partners in YEPP, and represented on
the YEPP Steering Committee, include:

NEF
YEPP operates under the auspices of the Network of European Foundations for Innovative Cooperation NEF. NEF is responsible for handling all financial contributions to the programme along with providing expertise and support. NEF works closely with INA.
INA
INA, the International Academy at the Free University of Berlin, is responsible for the programme design and implementation. INA hosts the Programme Director Angelika Krüger, the Programme
Team and the International Resource Centre.
