The Youth Empowerment Partnership
Programme (YEPP) is a multi-layer initiative of a consortium of European and US
foundations and the InternationalAcademy at the Free
University of Berlin, Institute for Community Education (INAgGmbH) operating
under the auspices of the Network of European Foundations. INA is responsible
for the programme development and the implementation; and hosts the Programme Director
and Team along with the International Resource Centre. Currently, YEPP is
working in 19 sites in 8 European countries.
YEPP is seeking a qualified person for our Berlin office for the position of:
Programme Assistant (m/f)
Tasks include:
Logistical
planning, organizing and on site implementation of YEPP conferences and
all other face-to-face and/or online meetings/workshops at the European
level.
Distributing
all relevant documents and material within the YEPP Community Network and
its partners across Europe.
Maintaining
a clear, accessible and up to date programme database, as well as maintaining
and updating all files relating to programme planning, budgets and
contracts.
Keeping
track of dates and appointments and arranging meetings and travel for the
YEPP Programme Team and for transnational events.
Writing
(as required) and editing all YEPP external documents and presentations to
ensure a consistent style.
Assisting
the YEPP Programme Director in strategic programme planning.
Ensuring
the YEPP website is regularly updated and that the information on there
remains current.
Keeping
the YEPP Programme Logbook up to date.
General
Office Duties, as required:
PrintingMailing
Supply ordersPetty cash
InvoicingFiling (both electronic and
physical),
Other
tasks associated with the YEPP programme, as assigned by the YEPP
Programme Director.
Profile:
Native English Speaker with German language skills
At least three years of relevant work experience
Experience in organising events
Experience in working in an international environment
Sound computer skills (MS Office, web management)
We are looking for an energetic person with a “can do” approach who
possess the soft skills required for an intercultural programme like YEPP, shares
the core values of the programme – namely, empowerment, participation and
partnership, and is interested in building up a sustainable European network of
YEPP sites into the next programme phase.
The position
is paid according to the German salary scale for public servants. The contract
will be for a full-time position, starting September 15th, 2010 and
ending June 30th 2010 with a possibility for extension.
